La chaîne Public Sénat, canal 13 de la TNT, adopte Yoowalk pour la nouvelle version de son portail.

A cette occasion, et notamment pour le débat Huchon – Pécresse de ce soir, la chaîne met en place une « Agora 2.0″ où les internautes pour réagir et interpeller les candidats en direct.

There has been a debate in Yoowalk about a new feature that we are testing, which consists in Tweeting part of the public chat that takes place in some rooms.

We believe that chat’s great benefit is to be live. Real-time. You really talk to some real person somewhere around the world.

But chat’s biggest drawback is volatility. What you say is then lost forever…

So, we think it can be a good idea to keep track of some conversations. And Twitter, with its worldwide success, is a perfect tool for that. In order to test this idea, and make sure that it makes sense, we have created a few Twitter accounts where anyone can follow what is being said. Among them:

• My room: xavier_YR
• JVS’s room: jvs_YR
• The walksite Yoowalk (at the entry corner): Yoowalk_YW

When we thought we had sorted out most of the bugs, and it could be interesting for some users, we asked Derringer if he was interested, and then created his account: Derringer_YR

At her request, we also created an account for Candyland, one of Cad Berry/ Fantasychick’s rooms: cadberry_YR

It is still a test that we are making, both technical and in terms of use.

Follow these Twitter accounts, chat around in these Yoowalk rooms, then tell us what you think, here on this blog.

Today, we opened two new villages: Italy and India. Everybody who wishes to publish a walksite in these two villages can do so now.

We hope that you will soon enjoy lots of new Italian and Indian walksites.

You can also publish your private room in the new communities of these villages.

Working everyday on Yoowalk lets us think that we have seen everything about this application already.

But sometimes, members’ imagination and talent are astonishing us. For instance, when they are using Flash objects to create a special atmosphere. Hereunder are a few examples of brilliant rooms.

Actually, if the trend provided by Compete.com is correct, the figures aren’t (they mostly count US audience). In December, according to Google Analytics, you have been 100.000 to visit the site (unique visitors), and we finish the year with 25.000 members!

As you can experience, the more people there are in Yoowalk, the more fun it is. That’s why a lot af you are starting to invite their friends, either with the Invite button, or via the Other IMs feature.
