We passed 40,000 members last night!

And you can now follow the count direcly in Yoowalk, right below the window.

Welcome to all of our newcomers!

In January, Yoowalk has reached a global audience of 130kUV and 164k visits, a 33% growth over the previous month (source: Google Analytics).

We now count 35,700 members, with a stupendous growth of 11% in 1 week and 46% compared to last month!

According to Quantcast (see the full report here), Yoowalk ranks as 34.000th site most visited in the US. We were below the 100K last month.

The redesign of the Share function at the end of last week is already visible in the numbers, with more and more visitors and members sharing places they like in Yoowalk on their Facebook profile, on Reddit, Twittering their position in Yoowalk, or just by inviting their friends to jump into their room by inviting them by email.

We’re very proud of these numbers, and proud that so many people now use Yoowalk daily to meet their friends, have a walk around the web with them, chat in one another’s room, etc.

In the name of the whole Yoowalk team, I want to thank all of you for your interest and curiosity in our service, and your patience for our bugs and (numerous) imperfections . Expect lots of improvements in February!

We have now more than 30,000 members!

Waooohhh, figures are getting higher and higher! I do not know whether you can figure it out, but 30,000 is the population of French cities like Biarritz, Agen or Montelimar. Yoowalk is becoming like a real city!

There has been a lot of you wandering around in Yoowalk searching for Merry Claus, asking us hints on how to find her. That was fun!

Hint: to find her, simply enter « Merry » in the search field (top right corner of the Yoowalk screen) or go to the Home street of the USA village…

Only 6 months after its official launch on July 1st 2008, Yoowalk has reached the emblematic target of 100,000 monthly unique visitors in December. Thus, for example, a brand like Le Figaro, a leading French News company, who has chosen one of the most visible positions of the entrance street of Yoowalk, has been viewed by all of these visitors just by spending the couple of hours necessary to make their walksite.

In the same time, the Yoowalk community exceeds 25,000 members. These members can make friends, browse the 3D web with these friends, chat with each other and build their personal rooms. All for free.

Xavier Marvaldi, CEO of Yoowalk, is enthusiastic about “the 43% growth rate of the audience in one month, along the 62% growth of the registered members base, which shows the Internet users interest for live and visual interaction in a 3D web.”

You like Yoowalk, and it shows in the numbers !

Actually, if the trend provided by Compete.com is correct, the figures aren’t (they mostly count US audience). In December, according to Google Analytics, you have been 100.000 to visit the site (unique visitors), and we finish the year with 25.000 members!

As you can experience, the more people there are in Yoowalk, the more fun it is. That’s why a lot af you are starting to invite their friends, either with the Invite button, or via the Other IMs feature.
